Newsletter Number 1

We warmly welcome you to the first Sasha Mini Festival newsletter! These newsletters aim to keep you informed of developments and tell you what you can expect on 15th-17th May 2015

First and most importantly: a huge thank you!......
to those of you who have supported this festival by putting your names to it. With a total of 31 guests, we will have ample opportunity to get to know each other, chat, look at the displays and workshops (and equally importantly, the guest dollies!) and exchange ideas, hints and tips. The aim of your hostesses - you can meet them below! - is to provide all the guests with a relaxing, informative and fun time in beautiful surroundings, and to make you truly feel an important part of the Sasha Community.
Your Venue
Eastwood Hall Hotel and Spa, Nottingham
This lovely venue is a country hall hotel set in beautiful and extensive grounds which you are free to explore (that's if you tear yourself away from the Sasha events!). You will enjoy a comfortable night's sleep, delightful food and elegant surroundings. If you would like to view the website for the venue, go to

Your Hostesses

Name Change!

Hi Everyone, I have changed the name of our mini festival to the 'Sasha Celebration Weekend' so that it will be uniquely ours and not confused in anyway with the Sasha Festival that is taking place in Fort Worth, Texas, USA in July of this year. We are working on another newsletter for January in which we will have a big appeal for Sasha related raffle prizes. All the raffle takings will be donated to the 'Save the Children' charity, which I think would have pleased the great Sasha M.

First Newsletter

Our first newsletter was sent out on 21st December 2014, hopefully you all got your copy.

Deadline for Deposits

Sasha Celebration Weekend  Deadline November 24th

A note for everyone who said they would like to come to the Sasha Celebration Weekend. Our deadline is approaching and we really need to know who intends to come along now. We have sent messages about the deposit and registration forms to all those who wished to attend (please contact me if you haven't received this) but so far have only had about one 5th of the deposits required. The festival itself will have the all important sales tables, talks on identifying the ages of your Sasha dolls, early Gotz dolls, Sasha care tips and possibly learning about Sasha Studio Dolls. There will be small and easy craft projects to do for your dolls and introductions to sewing and knitting for Sasha too. The Studio Doll Project will be displayed and we are hoping to have another display of very special outfits (I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this one). Having the event over a few days will mean that there will be so much opportunity to talk about our beloved passion and to meet all the lovely people who have been just virtual friends to us up to now. Please everyone, let's make this happen!

When:  15th May 2015 at 14:00  - 17th May 2015 at 11:00

Provisional Dates for a Sasha Celebration Weekendl in England 2015.
We have been negotiating with a hotel where we want to hold the festival and have been given very attractive rates for our event so now we need the numbers! We need 50 people to attend the festival to make it work and the information is as follows:-
Dates- Friday the 15th and Saturday the16th May
Location- Eastwood Hall Hotel, Eastwood, Nottingham
Price- £150 each, inclusive of 2 nights stay (based on 2 people sharing a twin bedded room) large buffet breakfast for both mornings, 2 course dinner for both evenings and a full day of festival activities in a private hall in the hotel on Saturday.
The hotel is situated on extensive grounds with a tennis court and there is an indoor heated pool, spa and gym on site for guests too.
If we all want the hotel to provide lunch for us on Saturday then the price will be £160 each. Also with a single room supplement the price would be £210 for the weekend.
The theme of our weekend is Craft and we have craft projects for Sasha and also Sasha care tips we want to share also with the hope that other people will volunteer their skills.
All the dolls from the ‘Studio Doll Project’ will be on display for the last time at the festival before they are returned to their owners or sold.
The hotel is holding the reservation for us for a limited time so your response is required ASAP
I do hope we can make it work.
